Who are we?
Bizadvisor is a boutique training and consultancy company specialising in FMCG.
Our team are all ex-industry specialists from both supplier and retailer backgrounds. We understand the changing retail landscape within FMCG and work with you to ensure that you are well positioned to succeed in this dynamic Industry.
Each team member has spent a minimum of 30 years in the Industry working for small and large, public and private companies at senior, exec and MD level for supplier or retailer. We offer credible solutions based on real life experience coming from a strong understanding of your customers and what it takes to succeed as a retailer or supplier.
We achieve this through our service offering which includes bespoke training programmes for your team, multi-level leadership training and development, sales training, and consulting and advisory services.
Meet Kelly
Kelly Smith
CEO, Advisor & Trainer – Sales, Leadership & Strategy
With more than 30 years’ experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, Kelly brings a wealth of commercial and leadership expertise to her work. She has held senior executive roles, including Sales Director at Griffins Foods and Goodman Fielder Baking, where she led high-performing teams and drove significant business growth.
Over the past 15 years, Kelly has focused on training, development, and strategic advisory services, working with businesses across a wide range of industries to build capability and unlock performance. She is a DISC Accredited Trainer and works closely with individuals and teams to develop leadership potential, improve sales effectiveness, and design clear, strategic organisational structures.
Kelly also serves as a Director and Advisor to several organisations including Competenz, St Kentigern, Abbley, Source & Supply, and Glowlab, contributing governance expertise and strategic insight at board level.

Meet Robert
Robert Smith
Governance, Advisory Services, and Strategy
Robert has over 35 years of experience in the retail sector, and is a respected leader with deep expertise in leadership, strategy and execution, marketing, and governance. He has held Managing Director roles at some of New Zealand’s most recognised retail brands, including Carpet Court, Paper Plus, Warehouse Stationery, and Countdown.
Known for his hands-on leadership and strategic insight, Robert has spent over 20 years in senior executive positions, successfully steering large retail organisations through growth, transformation, and market shifts. His experience spans every facet of retail—from store operations and marketing to customer experience and business performance.
Currently serving as Company Director/Chair for Carpet Court, NZ Home Loans, and Kitchen Studio, Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his advisory work, supporting boards and leadership teams in achieving long-term success.
